my story
For nearly three decades, I worked hands-on with hundreds of people, helping them find relief from pain, stress, and the effects of life's challenges. Over time, I became increasingly curious about a deeper question: Why do some people heal and thrive while others continue to struggle despite their best efforts?
That question led me to Polyvagal Theory and the study of the nervous system. As I learned more about the profound role the nervous system plays in our health, relationships, behavior, learning, and overall well-being, my work began to evolve.
Today, my practice is fully remote and centered on helping children, adults, and families create greater regulation, resilience, and connection through nervous system-informed approaches. I specialize in supporting adoptive and foster families, neurodivergent individuals, homeschool families, and those navigating the effects of trauma, chronic stress, sensory challenges, and dysregulation.
My work integrates the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), the Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP), nervous system education, and practical, body-based regulation strategies that can be used in everyday life. These approaches support the nervous system in finding greater capacity for safety, connection, and flexibility.
My professional work is deeply informed by my personal life. As a neurodivergent family, we have experienced firsthand both the gifts and challenges of navigating a world that is not always designed for different ways of thinking, learning, and being. Our family's journey has strengthened my commitment to advocacy, acceptance, and helping families better understand the wisdom of their nervous systems.
I believe that behavior is communication, that connection creates safety, and that healing happens when we learn to listen to the messages our bodies have been sending all along.
Using body-based approaches such as SSP, RRP, nervous system education, and practical regulation strategies, I help families move beyond simply managing symptoms and toward creating lasting change from the inside out.
I have immense respect for the intelligence of the human body and the resilience of the human spirit. Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child, or your entire family, my goal is to provide guidance, education, and tools that help you build a foundation of safety, connection, and regulation—where growth and healing can naturally unfold.
If you want to improve the world start by making people feel safer.”
